About the College of Automation
Experience is the Best Teacher
|
Mission Controls Automation is the parent company for the College of Automation. The college was
established in 2000 to meet the training needs of customers in plants with which we do business. The College
has quickly grown due to the large demand in the manufacturing community for employee training.
The College
of Automation conducts classes at its Costa Mesa headquarters as well as onsite at your plant location.
Classes from our catalog cover many areas of Mission Controls expertise. Custom training courses can be
designed around your plant’s unique training needs to allow for specific software or equipment to be utilized
during the training time.
The Importance of Good Operator Training
The subject of training is often a painful one for plant and departmental managers. Figuring out
exactly what subject matter workers need to learn, versus what they already know, is a procedure most
managers are not prepared to undertake. Workers must be taken off their shift — or paid overtime — to
take training. Finding training that will really improve job performance is difficult; finding
training that is specific to the plant’s own processes and operations can be impossible. And when the
training is over, knowing whether it was effective or not is problematic.
College of Automation has solved each of those training difficulties. Courses are taught at our
Costa Mesa, California, headquarters, or in your plant. On-site training of your employees, near their
work sites, is encouraged.
