Mission Controls is, above all other things, a service company. Our most common work scenario
involves helping process and manufacturing plants resolve issues and improve their standing in their
marketplace.
Our System
Engineering and Process
Engineering services extend from a simple, quick solution for a maintenance
issue over the telephone, to the design of whole plant automation controls and
processing systems. Mission Controls is an engineering firm, and our solutions
are carefully constructed using advanced engineering precepts. Mission Controls
engineers are famous in our marketplace, and the proof of their value is in the
pleased greetings they receive when they walk into a plant.
Information
Services are those activities involving the gathering, management, and use
of plant information.Mission Controls
Information Services people, with our own patented product, Epiphany, or with solid
utilization of the latest
available database and software technology, collect, organize, distribute and
archive information that makes a difference in your decision-making.
Robotics
is one of our fastest-growing service arenas. The installation of robotic
systems to perform constantly repetitive, hazardous, or heavy work can release
plant people to train for more technical tasks. Mission Controls Robotics
division can design, engineer, fabricate, install, program and integrate
entirely new robotic systems using either robots fashioned in our own shop, or
off-the-shelf robotic components. We also provide robotic system maintenance
and upgrade services.
Mission Controls leads the industry in several important aspects of
Process
Design. Mission Controls utilizes its advanced 3D Virtual Process Design
system to prove the design, and to communicate the design to the customer in a
format that answers questions before they become stainless steel issues.
Furthermore, Mission Controls fabricates complete systems in its Costa Mesa shop facility,
and then completely tests each system and all its programming before it is
delivered. Learn more by visiting our Process
Design pages.
Human-Machine-Interfaces (HMI’s) have improved significantly in recent years
in their ability to provide finite control of plant activities in either manual
or automatic modes. Mission Controls has developed standards of HMI design
that are currently at work in plants coast-to-coast. We believe HMI screens
should make control simple, sure, and positive. If your requirements include HMI
development, we can help.
Mission Controls Field
Technicians are our front line. Our techs spend time on your plant floors,
speaking with your operators and maintenance people, working out the exact
solutions to electrical, installation, air, mechanical, pneumatic or other
issues. Working closely with Mission Controls engineers, our field technicians
throw the switch and make it happen.
Mission Controls maintains a fully equipped, permanently staffed UL 508A panel
shop at its Santa Ana headquarters. Our panel shop is completely owned and operated
by Mission Controls. The panels we make are carefully engineered for each specific
project or panel order.
From time to time it is appropriate and necessary that someone from "the outside"
take a look at a system or process, to provide visionary or corrective opinion. Our
President, Mr. Craig Nelson, is internationally known for his ability to see the
issues clearly in virtually any automation or process environment, and to project
solutions that work. His consulting approach is positive, low-key, unerringly precise
and accurate, and often visionary. If it’s time for you to stand back and take another
look, shoulder to shoulder with a trustworthy advisor, ask for Craig.
