HMI Screen Design
Building Interfaces that Precisely Replicate Your Equipment
Mission Controls has moved HMI screen graphics far beyond the traditional
lines, empty boxes and rough representations of process lines, and made them
a positive factor in improved productivity. We believe HMI screens should
not be an unavoidable, troublesome, after-the-fact part of an automated
controls system, but a carefully engineered component of the process that makes control
precise, easy and correct.
Using digital photography, we develop screen representations of your actual process elements
and incorporate them into the HMI screens your operators see.
Depending upon the specific characteristics of your process equipment, the HMI screens Mission
Controls develops for you may include actual pictures of that equipment. In other cases,
representations will be re-created so your operators will instantly recognize the equipment they
are controlling.
Technology + Artistry: RealMotion™ Graphics
Our RealMotion™ Graphics blend digital technology with screen artistry and exacting engineering
to produce HMI screens that improve your productivity.
Mission Controls believes interfaces between humans and machines in medical,
industrial and processing applications should occur at the speed of mind. Technology
to permit this nearly perfect interaction is in place in its early iterations and quickly the means
is approaching the vision. Mission Controls is a leader in this synthesis.
We live by the following standards of HMI design:
- Our HMI designs start and end with the word "human."
- Our system navigation is intuitive.
- Our navigation designs simplify and shorten travel.
- Our color selections inform, clarify and attract.
- Our systems provide better visualization for plant operators.
- Our HMI designs permit full response to alarming situations.
- Our screens respect the customer's culture and icons.
- Our systems incorporate opportunities for expansion.
