Flat-line P&IDs haven’t changed since the Romans built the aqueducts. Until now.
Virtual Process Design is not just for P&ID-challenged laymen. Plant engineers,
maintenance workers, operators, managers and budget-approval administrators can now
see what the facility looks like, or will look like, without having to imagine what
all the lines depict.
Virtual Process Design is Mission Controls’ way of making sure that everyone
can understand what the facility or part of a facility looks like, or will look like.
With digital photography and the exact specifications of a process or manufacturing plant or room,
our draftsmen create a 3-D "movie." Viewers can move through the plant or room as if they
were actually there, seeing all the equipment in full 3-D view. If the plant or room doesn’t even
exist yet, but is still in the planning stages, viewers can see exactly what it will look like, with
all dimensions and relationships perfect.
Digital views of equipment produced in Virtual Process Design can be printed, and can be exploded
to show dimensions, hardware maintenance schedules, parts re-order information, tag addresses and
other information.
